Hey there! My name is Joe Swink. I am a 25-year-old artist living in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

I grew up in Bonanza, Arkansas as the youngest of the family. Being full generations younger than my sisters and parents, I spent a lot of my youth nerding out in my room on my Nintendo Gamecube or watching Star Wars & anime. Being the kid shrieking about Pokemon in a town of 400 people made me a bit of a social outcast. At 12 years old, after moving to Fort Smith, my interests mixed with my introverted personality led me to the gaming community on YouTube where people were creatively making videos and talking about things they loved - all which resonated with me deeply.

Months later, I was self-teaching myself video editing to make gaming playthroughs. This led to learning graphic design to improve my friends and I's channels. Though this started off as a innocent outlet from life, it was the seed that manifested into my life today.

Adult life hits. College was not the path for me. I find myself couch-hopping around town at 17. It was the hardest time of my life, but I was blessed to be surrounded by motivating people producing rap & edm music as their outlet for their struggles. I'm not a musician, and never thought about doing anything in music; yet I found drive through this "creating art will keep me alive and that's all I have" mentality. I began creating song art & merch for my friends, and my life as a visual artist in the music space was born. Lifelong shoutout to Kosah, Cole, and Hobson for giving me my first opportunities.

A chase to understand myself & my passions led me to live in Northern Colorado and Lawrence, Kansas for a few years. This is when I picked up photography, started marketing for restaurants I was working doubles at, and continued to work with local artist & entrepreneurs. You'll see memories from these adventures scattered throughout my portfolio.

Today, you will find me close to home, where I live a life I love in Fayetteville. Since moving here, I've had ventures as the Social Media Manager for the Arkansas Razorback Bands program, making visuals in the rap group Young Chase Dreamers, and now collaborating with musicians all around the scene. I still nerd out to my retro games, but I've also picked up collecting VHS tapes, books and CDs. Catch me kicking it with my cat, Jasper, or vibing out at a local concert.

I share my story in hopes it inspires someone the same way I once needed someone to inspire me. If you're someone who wants to be an artist, or who wants to be a business-owner, or who wants to be the top athlete, or who just genuinely wants to be happy - do know, you can do it. You can do anything you put your mind to. I believe in you as I pray you believe in yourself.

I once thought of myself as a kid in too deep. Little did I envision what would come once I kept digging.
